Dr Akram Khalid
MBBS, FRCS, D.Urol, DFFP, MRCG
Dr Khalid has been a GP since 2000. He joined Woodsend Partnership in October 2001 and is now senior partner. He has been a GP Trainer since July 2008. He holds a Diploma in Urology and leads a Lower Urinary Tract Service for men, supported by Consultant Urologists from Kettering General Hospital. He also leads in Minor Surgery, Community Skin Clinic and Vasectomy Clinic offering care closer to home for both registered and non-registered patients.
Dr Cathryn Appleton
MA, MB, BChir, MRCGP, DCH, DRC
Dr Appleton has been a GP since 1995. She started her registrar training here at Woodsend and continued as a partner after completing her training. She is the prescribing lead for Woodsend Medical Centre. She is also the lead in the Quality and Outcome Framework.
Dr Manoharan Rajkumar
Dr Raj has been a GP since 2003. He joined Woodsend in 2004. His clinical interests are substance misuse, dermatology and cardiology. He is the lead in the shared care of substance misuse clinic.
Dr Miten Ruparelia
Dr Ruparelia joined Woodsend Partnership in 2007and became a GP Trainer in 2009. He is currently Clinical Vice-Chair of NHS Corby CCG where he leads on contracting and urgent care and is part of the CCG executive team. Dr Ruperalia’s interest in commissioning was born during his GP training and as a registrar he successfully worked on developing a community DVT pathway with the local PCT.
Dr Rajesh Kumar
MBChB, MRCGP, DCH, DFFP
Dr Kumar qualified as a GP in 2012. He has specialist interests in children’s health. He is a keen cyclist and enjoys all sports.
Dr Emily Winters
MRGGP, MBChB and BSC
Dr Winters qualified from Leicester medical school in 2008, qualifications are MRGGP, MBChB and BSC and working on having a specialist interest in drug misuse and teaching FY2’s.
